The Block

Stuff block the most threatening actions in beach volleyball game, it's only feature of an effectual block. Blocking in volleyball game is a so demanding and difficult skillfulness. Often, the blockers in volleyball game will decide not to do it but quite to backup from net and guess a defensive situation deep side in court. This selection of flaking off the net is big dissimilarity between blocking in beach and blocking in indoor game.

Both the technological explanation and ability succession for beach volleyball block are similar as indoor volleyball blocks. In beach-volleyball, the blocking player generally uses his hand signals to converse their defending strategies - the right side hand for the attacking player on right side and left side hand for attacking fielder on left side. Generally, single finger meant a line-block, 2 fingers meant a cross-court-block, and fist (not any finger) meant the blocker is going to block.

While attacking is being ready, the blocking player has to make a decision whether to block at net or peel off net to play defensive. As height of play attractive, the blocking rate (against peeling) will raise.

Initial Position:

When getting ready to block in beach-volleyball game, it's essential to go away from the option of peel off the net as fast as probable. To create the peeling move, a blocking player should begin one to two meter away from net facing the attacker with a leg in front of other leg.

Having a foot in front of other will let the blocking player the suppleness to move rapidly from one direction to other- back (for peelings) or frontward (for blocking). It's preferable to have the outer foot frontward so that blocker's hips face into court.

Peel off the Net:

When peel off the net, blocker pushes the front leg and starts a run toward backcourt. The blocking player can, peel down either cross-court or line. Just before the attacking player touches the ball, a peeling block player has to come to the stop in set place with shoulders and hips squared in the direction of the attacking. There're 3 probable ways to regain to a defensive action from the net: turn, sprint sideways, or back pedal.

A.Turn one-eighty degrees, and run forward, then turn one-eighty degrees to protect
B.Back pedal-off the net, stop just previous to touch
C.Sprint to one side while looking at the attacking player, stopping just before touch.

Blocking the ball From Initial Position:

When blocking the ball at the net, the front foot of player enlarged toward the position at net. This style depends upon the hint to the defending player, the position of set, and the move toward of attacking player. Then the back-foot is brought even with front -foot and blocking player uses side steps to line up his body with the set position.
